Hunter College Counseling & Wellness Services (CWS) supports students' academic, social, and emotional success through the provision of mental health services on campus. This fast-paced service provides assessment, counseling, consultation, crisis intervention, outreach, and referral to enrolled students. CWS also provides consultation services to faculty and staff, along with a host of campus outreach programming to help promote mental health awareness on campus.
CWS seeks a professional, reliable Administrative Coordinator who can support the day-to-day operations of the Service. The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for the general administrative and support duties of the Service, and serves as the initial point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and the public. This position requires the utmost professionalism, diplomacy, tact, and discretion.
The Administrative Coordinator will report to the Director of Counseling & Wellness Services. In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, the Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:
Compiles bi-weekly unassigned active case lists for counselor review
Assists with monthly case closure reviews and generates monthly Quality Assurance Reports
Manages client feedback survey process and related statistical analysis
Reviews and updates administrative manuals and forms
Performs administrative duties such as student appointment scheduling, timely communications, document management, supply inventory, and other administrative duties related to Trainee Orientation activities
Establishes trainee office assignments
Assists with the training of interns on various CWS procedures
-Bachelor's Degree required.
-Experience in administrative support services in a mental health setting preferred.
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Supports projects, initiatives, and activities that impact an academic or administrative department.
Manages basic office functions such as communications, meeting schedules, work plans, staff assignments, and distributing information.
Collects data for, prepares, and distributes reports and presentations using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
Updates office databases, lists, and files to ensure completeness and accuracy; maintains current information on department web site(s); maintains department archives and collections.
Conducts internet and/or database research and performs basic systems queries to locate information related to department activities.
Maintains department fiscal plans and budgets; assists in budget administration and invoice processing.
Provides basic information, instructions, and materials as requested by students, faculty, and others who contact the department.
May supervise office staff and student workers.
Performs related duties as assigned.
