Summary of Position: Mouse metabolism research to understand mTOR, autophagy, and immunoproteasome functions
Essential and Other Functions:
75% Research works on mTOR, autophagy, and immunoproteasome
25% Writing manuscripts
Restrictions: Limited to a period of three years up to five, depending on training needs. The individual may be immediately post-degree or returning for additional training, updating, and retooling. Limited to fields for which post-degree training is necessary for career entry. Post-doctoral associates cannot be appointed on sponsored institutional training grants, sponsored individual fellowship or training awards. Post-doctoral associates are University of Minnesota employees. They are receiving additional training while also performing services for the University, for which they are compensated.
Note: These are not positions to which permanent residency can be granted for international appointees.
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D., DDS, DVM, JD, MD or equivalent is required. Publications and experiences in metabolism and/or immunology research; expertise in mouse studies
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates whose interests are oriented toward metabolism research and whose experience covers studies on metabolic regulation and immune-related diseases using mouse models.
