The Senior Solutions Analyst – Auxiliary and Data Systems plays a central role in the overall strategy, planning, implementation, coordination and maintenance of technical solutions meant to support the institution’s business operations. This is a senior level role that will partner with operational areas that utilize third party software solutions to address on-going business process and data needs. This person will facilitate, guide, and coach a group of highly skilled technical and business professionals in the use and evolution of systems in support of institutional initiatives. The Senior Solutions Analyst – Auxiliary and Data Systems will provide technical counsel and guidance on topics and projects related to solutions supporting institutional initiatives to senior management with a priority of supporting the campus’s enterprise card access system (HWS OneCard).
Serve as technical lead in a highly matrixed environment in the on-going development and sustainable engineering of institutional technical solutions
Contribute to the advancement of a shared vision for the overall technical data architecture by working with a variety of campus constituents
Facilitate technology architecture, design, and development decisions that align with operational needs and business processes
Serves as a senior member of the Enterprise Solutions Team; is a “go to” person for technical questions related to institutional business processes
Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to HWS staff on institutional initiatives
Develop technical resolutions to support and enhance institutional operational processes, and work to implement new operational processes as needed by the user community
React quickly to new opportunities for extending the use of enterprise solutions throughout the institution
Provides superior customer service to all user constituent groups
Stays informed of new technology developments regarding third party (cloud-based and on-premise) enterprise solutions and makes recommendations on how best to respond to these new developments
Provides day-to-day operational support for HWS OneCard system supporting dining services, card access to residence and administrative buildings, laundry and off-campus use.
Provides input into the annual financial budgeting process with specific recommendations related to the OneCard program
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business Administration or applicable years of experience
5+ years experience in the implementation of multi-tiered enterprise systems, data architecture, and an overall solutions development methodology
5+ years overall experience in software development and systems architecture
3+ years experience in Higher Education setting preferred
3+ years supporting student-based technical solutions preferred
2+ years supporting a campus card system or similar operation preferred
2+ years experience with relational databases required
2+ years experience in a technical lead role required
Demonstrated experience in written and interpersonal communication skills to include facilitating meetings, writing status reports, developing project plans, and generating cost estimates.
