THIS IS NOT AN H1- B OPPORTUNITY ResponsibilitiesThis position will be responsible for serving as the STEMI Program Coordinator, which includes establishing and managing a STEMI and Cardiogenic Shock Program. The STEMI coordinator will participate in the local STEMI Care Committee and will work closely with the Medical Director and assist in advising and establishing the standards of quality for STEMI care. Care standards include establishing & managing policies, procedures, treatment protocols, education, training, quality improvement and data collection. Must have knowledge of Title 22, cardiogenic shock programs, STEMI receiving center regulations and compliance, as well as Joint Commission regulations and compliance for program development. This position is responsible for coordinating patient care between Cardiovascular Services, the Emergency Department and other departments as needed. Additional duties include performance improvement, quality management, program development, formulating strategies and implementing and administering policies, processes and resources. Incumbent is a recognized organization-wide expert and has significant impact and influence on organizational policy and program development. Regularly leads projects of critical importance to the organization; these projects carry substantial consequences of success or failure. May direct programs with organization wide impact that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources. Required Qualifications
At least three years cardiovascular nursing experience.
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Master's degree required or in progress, either MSN or MS in related field.
Possession of valid California RN license.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Cardiac Catheterization lab experience.
Knowledge and experience using NCDR databases
