Department Description The South 1 unit is in operation 24 hours a day. It consists of 17 beds. The purpose of the South 1 Unit is to decompress the Emergency Department (ED) during times of high census in the ED and in the inpatient units. The South 1 will provide care to medically stable adult medical/surgical admitted patients. At least one year recent experience as a paid RN in an acute care setting.
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
Possession of current California RN License.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Knowledge of current trends in nursing.
Commitment to excellence in patient care.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates accountability and professionalism.
Adapts to change in a positive, professional and productive manner.
Knowledge of legal implications in clinical practice and documentation.

Basic computer skills
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Reference report reflect an overall meets or exceeds rating.
Ability to work overtime, float to other areas and work weekends and holidays.
Ability to safely lift 25 lbs. and assist in moving patients, and stand on feet over extended periods.
