The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill Department of Psychiatry invites applications for a faculty full-time, fixed-term position as a psychologist. The successful candidate will join a team of providers in the field of substance abuse treatment. The position holder will specialize in the treatment of mental disorders and substance use disorders with a specific interest and experience in Addiction Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Brief Intervention and Use Cessation. Experience with group and individual psychotherapy for substance use, addictive behavior, and dual diagnoses is required. UNC Department of Psychiatry is an academic medical setting and the position expectations include clinical care, research engagement and teaching commitment. Experience with training psychology and additional disciplines in substance use is strongly preferred.
Education and Experience:
Applicants must have at least one year of supervised post-doctoral fellowship training; the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary enviornment; and an interest and/or experience working with undeserved populations is a plus.
