The work schedule is Monday - Friday between 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. For non-exempt positions, you are not eligible to work a secondary job at Montgomery College.

The Administrative Aide I works closely with the Assistant Director of Public Safety & Emergency Management to ensure successful functioning of the Public Safety Office and provides clerical support for the department. Provides customer service on behalf of the department to the College community.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Responds to telephone, e-mail, and in-person queries from students, parents, faculty, staff, and general public about various College processes with regard to Security programs, services, and general college information.
Manages Incident and Crime Logs and the Parking Tickets and/or Appeals for the TP/SS Public Safety Office.
Check with Facilities for new employees signing out keys and update the key log to reflect such information.
Assist with management of the Lost & Found program by maintaining the item log, organizing storage, researching and contacting owners when possible and assisting with retrieval of property.
Assist with management of Public Safety uniforms and equipment.
Tracks and monitors office supply inventory and arranges for replenishment of items as necessary.
Regularly check the file drawer to make sure sufficient copies are available of all regularly used forms and keep the Base Folder updated with weekly information.
Drafts and supplies the office with forms, informational brochures, and flyers to disseminate to staff, faculty, students, and general public pertaining to events, programs, procedures, or deadlines.
Takes requests for doors to be opened or locked and other security related functions from walk-up customers.
Other duties as specified by the Assistant Director of Public Safety & Emergency Management.
Eligible applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States and not require employer visa sponsorship.
High school diploma or GED, including or supplemented by courses in word processing and office practices.
At least one (1) year of progressively responsible experience performing general office and secretarial duties involving customer service.
Physical capability to effectively use and operate various office related equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computers, calculators, printers, and copiers.
Ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time and perform repetitive finger motions, such as with typing, and to read from a computer monitor.
