Germanna Community College is seeking a full time-front line customer service professional to work as a lead in a multi-faceted position in Enrollment Services. This position is primarily between two locations-the Fredericksburg Area Campus and the Stafford Center. Flexibility and a willingness to work at other locations, as needed, is a must. This position is in a very fast paced and challenging environment. Enrollment Services provides students with assistance in admissions, registration, and financial aid as well as makes regular referrals to Counseling, Disabilities Services, Veteranâ™s Affairs, Testing and other support services. The successful candidate will answer in-person, email and phone inquiries from the public regarding programs and services offered by the college, and assist prospective, new, and continuing studentâ™s access student and academic support services. The ability to provide excellent customer service is essential to this position. This includes patience and the ability to understand and identify with the feelings of others and communicate accordingly. This person must exhibit excellent problem-solving skills, and an ability to connect with a diverse population. The ideal candidate will understand the importance of identifying prospective students as well as timely follow-up to convert them from prospects to applicant. Once a student has applied, the person in this position will be required to provide follow up, troubleshooting any barriers the student may have as well as outlining the new student process.
