The Office Assistant for Records will assist with basic office duties, data entry and special project tasks. The successful candidate will work with a variety of GCC community members and should be open to learning more about diverse populations.
The following are typical responsibilities associated with this position. The specific responsibilities may vary and will be assigned accordingly by the supervisor.
Assist the Records Office staff with routine office functions including, but not limited to: scanning, filing, data entry, and document creation.
All tasks will be completed in a way that demonstrates attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality.
Must be dependable, self-motivated and maintain confidentiality.
Must possess basic computer skills - prior experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
Customer service: respecting the diversity of the GCC community in all interactions with students, faculty and staff.
Basic office skills: photocopying, faxing, updating files, filing, and basic data entry.
Will train a student who has a strong work ethic and the desire to learn - this is an excellent opportunity to obtain professional experience with database and spreadsheet applications.

Flexible hours between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. - will coordinate scheduled focused on the completion of project tasks with supervisor on a weekly basis.
