Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 4:30pm to 7:00pm, 9:30pm to 11:00pm
Job Summary: The Production Assistant will be responsible for assisting professional staff on video, audio and multi-media productions.
Additional Department Summary: Primary roles will include a combination of research, writing, video and audio recording, video and audio editing, and graphics design.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Two years of post-secondary education or a bachelor's degree.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier.
Skills and Knowledge: Interest in broadcasting and television production. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Experience and familiarity with social media platforms and television production techniques. Familiarity with video and/or audio production equipment, a working knowledge of computers and graphic design, and research and writing skills are highly desirable. Good interpersonal, organizational and time management skills, along with the ability to work as part of a creative team and independently exercise good judgment, are essential.
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred major in Communications, Broadcasting, Journalism, Photography, Creative Writing, or Humanities.
