The Knight Cardiovascular Institute is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to support our clinical operations. The duties of the position are in support of the missions, goals and objectives of the KCVI, OHSU and the School of Medicine.
Clinical: The primary responsibility of this position is to serve clinically as an interventional and general cardiologist. For interventional cardiology you will spend an average of 2 days a week in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.Your general clinical cardiology duties will include two or more one half-day clinics a week (including outreach locations) and at least 2 yearly rotations (2 weeks each) serving as an attending physician on the in-patient cardiology services.
Education:OHSU is a teaching and learning Institution. A portion of your time will be spent on education related activities. You will be expected to participate in the development of an interventional cardiology fellowship at OHSU and have the trainees participate in your valvular heart disease program.
Alicensed MD with an active Oregon license upon hire
Board Certified in Cardiology, board eligible/certified in Interventional Cardiology
DEA certification as well as current BCLS and ACLS certification
Prior experience working in an academic health facility
Expertise in complex coronary and structural heart disease procedures and will have served as an Interventional Cardiologist.
