We are seeking a Sr. Systems Analyst to join our Nursing Informatics team at MSK. As a Sr. Systems Analyst, you will maintain and support the ongoing operation and implementation of all clinical systems supported by the nursing informatics.

You will build middleware solutions that will send critical lab values to physician mobile phones in order to improve patient care.
Serve as the technical lead for secondary alerting in a newly built, state of the art, world-class facility.
You will also:
Lead interdepartmental teams in the implementation of system enhancements, changes and fixes, including documentation of functional design specifications, system configuration and testing
Collaborate with clinical/operational/technical teams in establishing goals and standards for all assigned systems
Apply insights and a variety of analytical techniques to conceive process improvements and develop effective solutions to operational/technical issues
Be responsible for database management and system security
Provide programming and analysis functions to assist in the development and implementation of new systems, the revision of existing systems and to support special projects
Direct the preparation and design of utilization, productivity, and other ad hoc reports to meet internal and external reporting needs
Able to take complex clinical proposals/plans and, with precision and attention to detail, build the appropriate technical infrastructure in the corresponding system(s)
Capable of building strong customer relationships and delivering clinical-centric solutions
A good decision-maker, with proven success at making timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward

Bachelors degree in Computer science and/or Information Systems (or equivalent experience)
4+ years of experience performing clinical systems implementations at a technical level
1 year in a managerial capacity preferred and ability to work independently
Experience in a complex, multi-departmental healthcare environment
Experience in developing and using test plans, understanding of complex analytics with building systems, script writing, supporting servers, creating programs using databases
Experience with Connexall and /or experience with rules based middleware/interface software
Experience with script languages (e.g., Pascal, VBA, SQL)
