UTILITIES FINANCIAL OFFICER , Facilities-Finance, Accounting and Controls Group , to be responsible for the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions within the Institute's financial system, with a focus on performing the utilities cost accounting and the accounting for the regulatory recovery mechanisms. Will assist with adherence to the book closing process and the financial analysis of results and be responsible for executing the monthly calculation of utilities rates and for processing the distribution of expenses to campus buildings and projects.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business with accounting emphasis; at least four years of accounting experience; advanced-level proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (particularly in Excel); knowledge of SAP or similar accounting package; relational database skills and experience with Brio Query and/or Cognos or similar database query tool; ability to analyze financial information and recognize significant variances, trends, and irregularities; and excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization; work in a team-oriented environment; and manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
