• Provide financial analysis and modeling support of programs, departments and colleges/schools.
  
• Collaborate with the Director to develop sound and creative approaches to financial management and business models that calibrate to the relationship of external business conditions, University targets, benchmarking data and valuation models that value financial goals and objectives.
  
• Use analytics, assess and recommend improvements to Academic Affairs’ financial and business processes which ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions, compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements, and the protection of assets through proper internal controls, cost control and revenue maximization.
  
• Provide financial year-over-year analysis of programs, departments and colleges/schools.
  
• Collaborate with the Director and CoS-SAVP to develop sound and creative approaches to financial management and business models that calibrate to the relationship of external business conditions, University targets, benchmarking data and valuation models that value financial goals and objectives.
  
• Assist the Director with the modeling and set-up for new academic programs and Corporate and Employer Outreach (CEO) cohorts by working with colleagues across the university, ie EM&M, SFA, FST & academic areas, to compile inputs to develop a sound model for financial feasibility and planning purposes.
  
• Support the Director and CoS-SAVP in coordinating the annual tuition pricing committee process and budgeting effort for Academic Affairs, aiding in the maintenance of the staff and faculty demographics, staffing the fee subcommittee and partnering with academic managers to uphold the University’s strategic and financial plans, goals, mission and values, related to their annual budgets.
  
• Assist the Director and CoS-SAVP in attracting, hiring, retaining, and training of departmental student assistant(s).
  
• Conduct and document special projects as assigned.
  
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  

• Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting/Finance required or a related degree with equivalent experience.
  
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
  

• Responsible for attracting, hiring, retaining, and training of departmental student analyst(s) within Academic Administration.
  
• Conduct and document special projects as assigned, coordinate students work-load, overall student supervision/management.
  

• This position does not have authority to bind the university to contracts or negotiate other significant financial matters.
  
• This role does have the ability to investigate on behalf of management, with consult of the Director of Academic Analytics and Scheduling and the CoS-SAVP.
  
• The services and analysis this position provides directly guides and supports the Director/CoS-SAVP, who retains responsibilities for the general direction the general analysis/oversight, accountability of the academic enterprise, on behalf of the Provost.
  
• In conjunction with the Director/CoS-SAVP, this position influences decisions concerning the academic resources of the university consisting of approximately $567 million in budgeted gross expenditures, $244 million of financial aid/scholarships, and $717 million in budgeted gross revenue (source: Operating budget for Academic Affairs, for FY20).
  
• This position requires access to information that is considered highly confidential that may include employee, student, or university information.
  
• This position further assists the CoS-SAVP in the advanced analytical analysis and strategy surrounding the academic sector which comprises ~ 86% of the annual budgeted revenue and ~ 68% of the university's annual budgeted operating expenditures.
