Primary Purpose: We are currently looking for a sound technician to provide audio services for events taking place in Morris Chapel. Morris Chapel provides a variety of services including weddings, funerals and events that include microphone and music services from our sound system. The sound technician will assist and manage from the choir loft of Morris Chapel.
This is a temporary non-benefit eligible position.
Essential Functions: 1. Operating sound booth and music during events (rehearsals, weddings, funerals, and other events).
2. Setting up microphones and music stands as needed.
3. Operating additional sound equipment during events.
4. Coordinating with the host of the event for any changes and/or edits to the program.
5. Complete sound sheet notes when event is completed.
6. Properly secure all equipment at the end of each event.
Experience or working knowledge of sound equipment required.
Strong communication skills.
Reliable, positive attitude, and proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations.
Strong technical ability to troubleshoot issues.
