Depending on specific assignments, primary position responsibilities include providing infrastructure design, management, configuration management, and operational support for the applications and web servers, process schedulers, and integration brokers used by business applications and systems; providing support by applying maintenance including patches and fixes supplied by third-party vendors or developed in-house to enterprise applications and integrations on a pre-determined and scheduled basis; supporting the delivery of new or enhanced applications through a release process that includes communicating plan and schedule for release, implementation documentation and guidelines, and a period of enhanced support as defined in the project or release plan; change management and migration through the development, testing, training and production environments; and providing technical advice and counsel via monitoring and review of application performance to ensure that production code is efficient and effective in meeting business needs. Serves as lead middleware administrator for the Enterprise Operations Support Services department.
