Reporting to the Associate Registrar for Scheduling, Catalog and Faculty Services, the Assistant Registrar will be responsible for the production and publication of UMBC’s Undergraduate Catalog. Specific duties include: overseeing all aspects of the development and maintenance of accurate course data, such as prerequisites, co-requisites, and reserved seating capacities in Peoplesoft Campus Solutions; coordinating ongoing and annual updates to course data, academic program and policy information in the online Undergraduate Catalog using Acalog; coordinating and facilitating the use of Curriculog to develop and maintain workflow systems for the approval of new or updated courses and academic programs. The Assistant Registrar serves as an ex-officio member of the Undergraduate Council and works closely with Departmental catalog coordinators. The Assistant Registrar supports the Associate Registrar in developing documentation and best practices to assist faculty and staff in using online catalog, scheduling and enrollment tools.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of experience in higher education.
Experience with Peoplesoft Campus Solutions and/or Acalog/Curriculog or similar background with an aptitude for learning new software systems.
Excellent attention to detail; strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; and ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with colleagues.
