The Assistant Director (AD) will coordinate and implement educational programs that expose K-12 students to STEM research and careers and broaden participation of under-represented groups in STEM fields. The AD will collaborate with BU faculty and students, other units at BU, K-12 teachers, local industries, and non-profits to develop initiatives that support this mission. The AD will serve as lead for several major programs and be responsible for organizing all logistics; marketing and promotion; developing website content; processing applications; hiring and training staff/volunteers; and overseeing successful execution of these programs. The AD will also have responsibility for ensuring compliance with criminal background checks for the College of Arts & Sciences and maintaining these records. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is well-organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. An individual with project management experience and strong writing and/or fundraising skills is desirable. A background in a STEM, education or marketing field is a plus.
Masters Degree Preferred, Bachelors required with at least 3-5 years of relevant full-time work experience. Must include resume and cover letter in order to be considered.
