Full-time teaching faculty position in a vibrant and growing CEPH-accredited undergraduate (B.S.) and graduate (M.P.H) program in Public Health. Our mission is to advance health equity and social justice through a commitment to an upstream focus and cultural responsiveness in our development of public health professionals, our community engagement, and our scholarship. Appointment includes teaching, student advising, and curriculum development, as well as the expectation of participating in department, college, and university committees and activities. This is a non-tenure track, long-term renewable position.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaches 4 courses in Fall semester, 4 courses in Spring semester, 2 courses in Summer
Serves as an academic advisor for undergraduate public health majors
Participates in public health program meetings
Contributes to departmental initiatives such as curriculum review and development
Performs other duties as assigned.
Earned a graduate degree in public health or related field.
Experience teaching in higher education.
Demonstrated ability and commitment to using effective pedagogical strategies to create engaging, relevant, and skills-based learning experiences for students.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in and with socially, culturally, and economically diverse communities, and have a commitment to education for social justice, democratic and inclusive practice, and critical thinking.
Degree in health policy/systems/administration.
Interest and experience in teaching applied statistics in public health.
