Summary of Duties: The Events Coordinator is responsible for all signature campus wide events on the Tri-Cities campus and other selected venues. The position reports to the Office of the Chancellor and with a proactive, collaborative approach, will work closely with external and internal audiences including Advancement & Community Engagement, Marketing & Communication, the President's Office, University constituents, and student groups. Responsible for managing commencement and other events and ceremonies. This position provides primary coordination of campus facilities to execute events on and off campus for community, students, faculty and staff. Attention to detail with a high quality of work is required under tight timelines. Highly skilled at collaborating and consensus building is required. The position ensures that events and services meet applicable laws, regulations, and institutional policies. This position frequently works outside of normal business hours including evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications: A Bachelors degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
