Position Summary and ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Director of Advancement Systems and Reporting and as part of the Advancement Services team, the Programmer/Analyst provides programming support to the various units in Office of Alumnae/i Affairs and Development (OAAD) including support for a major comprehensive campaign to support the priorities of the College. This position responds to data and report requests using built in tools within the thankQ CRM along with Microsoft SQL Services Reporting System (SSRS). This position is part of an integrated team of professionals with shared goals for supporting the institution. The Programmer/Analyst is a member of a 4 person team to provide programming and tactical support for all fundraising and engagement activities. This position works directly with OAAD staff to support and educate regarding data and information needs. Responsibilities:
Create, maintain and process queries for all departments in OAAD;
Communicate and collaborate on information needs and report requirements with various units in OAAD;
Understand thankQ CRM database structure and data to support the goals of the department and ensure data accuracy;
Educate staff on the purpose of thankQ CRM data as needed;
Complete annual survey data requests as needed;
Identify and coordinate access and retrieval of data using thankQ CRM and SSRS;
Assist Director with analysis and delivery of data in visual format as needed;
Maintain data integrity at all levels;
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant education;
Two to five years of relational database experience is required with expertise in programming, querying, exporting, importing and report generation. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Systems (SSRS) preferred;
Experience with MS Office Suite required and Google Suite preferred;
Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team with excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills;
Must be well organized, detail oriented, have the ability to multi-task and handle competing projects while meeting deadlines;
Must possess a strong understanding of data and have the ability to educate staff regarding data and reporting tools.
