To provide entry-level skills in the coding, entry, and retrieval of information by means of a computer terminal. Responsible for the coding, entry and retrieval of data and occasional involvement in other related clerical duties.
Receives information to be entered into the system. Codes data prior to entry. Updates and delete existing files and records as requested. Check and verifies the correctness and completeness of data that has been entered. Makes minor modifications as necessary. Assists in the preparation of reports. Performs other clerical or processing functions as necessary. Performs other duties assigned.
High school graduate. One (1) year of data entry experience or the equivalent experience.
Previous data entry experience. Proficiency in typing, spelling and grammar. Must be detail oriented, proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and able to work with a high degree of accuracy.
