Licensure as a registered nurse in good standing in North Carolina or a compact state; meeting the North Carolina Board of Nursing's requirements for nurse educator.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Nursing, the position requires doctoral preparation in nursing or a related discipline.
The successful candidate's responsibilities may include teaching in the classroom, clinical settings, simulation, or online in any of the degree programs offered in the Department of Nursing. Teaching may include supervision of capstone projects or thesis advisement. In addition, responsibilities include scholarship yielding publications, service on committees, advising students, assisting with program development, and participation in official activities of the Department, College, and University, among others. There are no on-line only teaching positions within the Department of Nursing.
One year full-time teaching in a baccalaureate or graduate nursing program, experience in online instruction and development, and clinical expertise in community, mental health nursing, and/or research.
