SENIOR INTERNAL AUDITOR , Audit Division , to be primarily responsible for engagement planning and execution, report writing, and assessment of management corrective action taken. The Audit Division conducts assurance and advisory engagements of Institute-wide and department, lab, and center level processes and control systems; and collaborates with management to identify operational, compliance, financial, safety, and behavioral risks and exposures as well as evaluating related controls. Will be accountable in the conduct of work while focused on client service, collaboration with audit team members, and strong communication with Institute stakeholders; participate in ongoing risk assessment associated with individual operational units and/or processes; and provide representation on a variety of committees across the Institute, which may require lending expertise from an objective viewpoint.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : B.S./B.A. in a related field; five years' relevant experience; certification as a CIA or CPA or the intent to become certified as a CIA within eighteen months of hire; proficiency with internal control concepts (COSO and risk assessment practices) and the IIA Standards and experience applying the same to evaluate business processes/areas; ability to consider and propose data analytic opportunities for audit engagements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of audit efforts; ability to think critically and synthesize audit results toward identification of root cause and formulation of value added recommendations to improve controls, mitigate identified risks, and increase efficiency of operations; and very strong listening and oral and written communication skills.
