Job Duties/Responsibilities 50% - Designing & Conducting Experiments -Post-Doctoral Associate will be responsible for designing and conducting NIH-funded research experiments pertaining to the role of transcription factor mediated networks to direct cardiomyocyte proliferation and regeneration, the fate of stem and hiPS cells to a mesodermal and cardiomyocyte fate and conducting research in the areas of transcriptional regulation of cardiac progenitors, transcriptional regulation of myogenic stem cells.
50% - Documenting Experimental data -Maintain detailed documentation of procedures and experimental data. This involves analyses of data, writing summary reports on results of work and discussing results with laboratory colleagues and the Principal Investigator. -Present an independent review of relevant scientific literature for ongoing projects and discussions of possible new experimental approaches with laboratory colleagues and the principal Investigator. In addition, Post-Doctoral Associate will be required present regular presentations of scientific data and significant contribution to the preparation of manuscripts.

Required Qualifications - Ph.D required - Expertise with molecular biological-biochemistry and cellular techniques, the use of transgenesis and knockout technologies, and morphological analyses.
Preferred Qualifications -Demonstrated experience developing scientific protocols and scientific writing.
