The Financial Operations Analyst reviews financial transactions; oversees the general ledger, prepares financial reports, and performs financial analysis; participates in month- and year-end close activities, coordinates invoicing for both internal and external contracts or agreements; supports the college in budget preparation, forecasting, identifying and implementing strategic initiatives; coordinates asset management activities for the college; serves as a subject matter expert and initial point of contact for issues including but not limited to compliance and interpretation of financial policies and procedures with college community; provides guidance and training related to financial operations for the college, participates in the development and implementation of training resources, provides coverage when needed for other finance team members.
7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening.
Work is performed primarily in an office environment and the employee in this position is subject to indoor environmental conditions. This position requires sustained periods using a keyboard and performing other computer work as well as reviewing documents both in hard copy and electronic formats. Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, which permits the employee to function in a general office environment to accomplish tasks.

Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or an equivalent combination of education/experience; knowledge of accounting principles and applications; two years of progressively responsible financial and administrative experience.
Extensive knowledge of university policies and procedures; proficiency in the university's financial systems (i.e. eRequest, eTravel, PeopleSoft, eReports, BuckIQ, Surplus, PI Portal, etc.) strongly preferred; prior or current certification as a university delegated buyer; proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word; excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated customer service mindset and collaborative style of work; proven ability to manage multiple time-critical priorities and projects with minimal supervision.
Target Salary: $54,000.00 - $59,000.00 Annually
