Provide problem analysis, interface development and programming expertise in support of University Advancement, which includes all alumni, donor, constituent, and contribution records. Develop, implement, test and revise processes and reports in support of Advancement initiatives, which includes donation and membership processing, data integrity and hygiene monitoring and updating, and ad hoc information requests. Solutions will primarily support Development and Alumni efforts in an Oracle database environment using a variety of tools. Teamwork is required along with an individual's responsibility to maintain, develop and document all applications.
Design, develop, and implement custom reports and ad hoc data requests.
Debugs reports and programs whenever a problem arises and performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Assist with work to automate and/or improve operating processes to meet business goals.
Help end users with using the database; help with navigation, locating records, using existing report, etc.
Maintain appropriate documentation on assigned systems or programs.
Evening, weekend and call-in work may be required to meet deadlines and correct system failures.
BS in Computer Science or Management Information Systems, or similar field.
1+ years relational database programming experience in Oracle.
Experience with Cold Fusion.
Understanding of application development environments in particular data integration, business process analysis, and database schemas.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to review and comprehend existing code and processes to support updating and maintaining existing processes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
