JOBSUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of the ExecutiveDirector -Business Productivity Solutions, this position oversees product management,including vendor management, technical design, modification, development, and documentationof complex software solutions. Troubleshoots technical issues to ensure the UTHSCLearning Management System (LMS) appropriately operates in assisting faculty,students, and staff with their technical goals.
Oversees the daily operations of LMS by providing highquality technical assistance to faculty, students, and staff of UTHSC.
Troubleshoots technical issues derived from Blackboard24/7 support and collaborates with vendors and other technical staff to deviseproblem resolutions.
Handles and tracks all active LMS courses and helps theTeaching & Learning Center (TLC) integrate LMS into additional courses.
Serves as the interface and customer advocate for customerand stakeholder requirements.
Works with internal IT resources to troubleshoot,maintain, and enhance Student Information Systems (Banner) integration feeds.
Coordinates the evaluation and implementation of newand improved technical features and seeks feedback from end users on the qualityof the system and services.
Organizes efforts to meet campus customer requirements,including other ITS staff, vendor resources, and other campus partners.
Liaisons with LMS vendor (Blackboard) and UTHSC's teams(TLC/ITS) to ensure project success.
Manages software licenses and contracts.
Supportsthe analysis, planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of key projectsto help UTHSC achieve their goals.
Strivesto accomplish measurable business process improvements using Lean 6 Sigma methodology,tools, and principles.
Attendsannual User Conferences and technical conferences to improve LMS skills. Participatesin LMS user groups.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
