HEALTH INSURANCE ENROLLMENT REPRESENTATIVE , MIT Medical , to assume responsibility for handling complex day-to-day enrollment issues by researching and/or triaging the population of MIT's student health insurance plans. This will include assisting students, affiliates, visiting students, and their dependents. Will work with an outside enrollment vendor and key MIT stakeholders (Student Financial Services, Registrar's Office, graduate administrators, etc.) to resolve enrollment issues related to eligibility, internal and external claims billing, benefits, and referrals.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : a high school diploma or its equivalent; at least three years of experience, preferably with at least two working with health insurance membership data or similar work; ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple activities, and meet strict deadlines; strong customer service, organizational, time-management, critical thinking, problem solving, diplomacy, listening, and verbal and written communication skills; ability to build positive work relationships and to coordinate work with team members and third parties; and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. PREFERRED : associate's degree in business, communications, health policy, or similar relevant discipline; the initiative necessary to assist management in balancing workload with coworkers as the flow of work varies; ability to partner with other departments to maximize the efficiency of shared work; and database skills.
