SENIOR SOFTWARE ASSET MANAGEMENT ANALYST, VENDOR MANAGEMENT , Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) , to support the daily and ongoing strategic management of software at MIT. Will leverage industry best practices to govern and manage cloud-based software services and subscriptions, software license entitlements, software renewals, inventory tracking, database entry, and software license compliance activities; work closely with other subject matter experts, including system architects, system administrators, project and program managers, financial analysts, business logistics specialists, and engineers to obtain critical information required for the management and support of MIT-supported software; and make recommendations on software models that optimize value, cost, and risk to the Institute. Will work under the general direction of the software asset management manager.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems/technology, engineering, or related field; at least seven years' relevant experience; at least three years' direct software asset management and/or software compliance experience, including software licensing, software asset management policies and procedures, and procurement lifecycle; experience working with stakeholders to ascertain and perform business analysis and forecasts for software products; direct experience with software discovery data and software usage data; knowledge of product use rights for providers such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, Adobe, IBM, VMware, etc.; familiarity with hardware technology and configurations including virtualization; experience with OS--Windows, Linux, UNIX, IOS, Mac, and virtual operating environments; demonstrated ability to compile and analyze large amounts of data from multiple sources; strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to accumulate, organize, and assimilate large amounts of information; and excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
