Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow for the School of Health Professions within the Department of Clinical and Preventive Nutrition Services. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), the Post-Doctoral Fellow will assist in a National Institute of Health (NIH) R21 project to develop and test a smartphone application (app) designed to support self-management and treatment of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) among patients in a suburban hospital setting in Nepal.
Assists the PI in developing applications to the Institutional Review Board (IRB). Responsible for reporting protocol changes to the IRB.
Manages and analyzes data from the mobile health application (app).
Contributes to writing of abstracts, manuscripts and grant applications and reports.
Conducts literature reviews, maintains and reviews study databases including merging and cleaning of data sets.
Ensures proper intellectual development of the R21 project.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Ph.D. Degree in a relevant area, peer-reviewed publications, excellent writing and communication skills.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The candidate should have a strong work-ethic and organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
Proficient in using statistical packages (SPSS, STATA, SAS etc.) and conducting qualitative research.
Priority will be given to applicants with demonstrated expertise in at least two (2) of the following areas: mHealth, Global Health, Maternal and Child Health, Clinical Trials, or Qualitative Research.
This is a grant funded position.
