Reporting to the Assistant Director of Budget and Analytics in the Department of Medicine, the Manager of Financial Reporting will be responsible for the development and management of standardized and ad hoc financial reporting & analysis, to assist in the facilitation of operations and planning of Core Administration and Departmental Divisions/Centers. S/he must be a self-starter with ability to work through complex issues, elevating issues appropriately to Divisional Leaders and Core Administration.
Provides key support to the Business Plan process for the Department, which includes working closely with divisional management and faculty to prepare and review business plan drafts for submission. Works closely with the Faculty Practice Organization to ensure timely approval of submitted plans.
Responsible for the monitoring and tracking of performance of Clinical Division financial objectives by providing monthly and quarterly reports regarding, RVUs, revenues, expenses, account balances, variance reporting, to name a few. Elevate information as appropriate.
Assists Divisions and Core Administration on financial and budgetary preparation and oversight.
Appropriately provides information needed in high-level decision-making process.
Supports Divisions and Core Administration in strategic planning initiatives.
Provides data, facilitates dialog, and responds appropriately.
Manages a team of two financial analysts who assist in delivering all the reporting and analysis listed above.
Provides succinct information and data presentation for appropriate levels within CUIMC.
Performs other job-related duties as required.
Bachelor's degree preferably in Finance or other quantitative field, or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of related experience in business or similar institutional administration
Must possess strong analytical skills, be detail-oriented, organized, and articulate
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Ability to work with complex financial models
Must be meticulous in quantitative detail
Willingness and ability to learn new systems entailing large amounts of data
Prior management experience
Master's degree in Finance or other quantitative field
Experience in an academic, large private practice, or hospital
Successful completion of applicable systems training requirements
