PREHEALTH ADVISOR , Career Advising and Professional Development , to support the office in advancing its mission of assisting students and alumni in their exploration of, preparation for, and entry into medical careers, medical school, and health profession programs. Will be responsible for providing direct support to students and alumni through one on one appointments and facilitating programs to help educate students on career options and the various requirements for applying to professional and graduate programs successfully. Responsibilities also include managing and coordinating programs with area partners to expose students to careers in medicine and healthcare; collaborating with campus partners and student groups to promote opportunities, including mentoring and shadowing opportunities; and assisting with assessment of services and programs, contributing to publications and social media outreach, and serving as a liaison to health profession schools and application services representatives.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : a bachelor's degree (master's preferred); at least two years of experience, with an emphasis on academic advising, career counseling, student affairs, or related field; and at least one year of experience in a career center or higher education setting, related to career development or academic advising.
