A Research Associate (postdoctoral fellow) position is available in the Gilad Lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) and the Institute for Quantitative Health Science and Engineering (IQ) at Michigan State University. The Department of BME offers a unique environment for performing state-of-the-art research with many of the top scientists in the field.
Research project focus:
Developing novel algorithms for in silico protein and enzyme evolution
De novo design of proteins and peptides based on desired function
Validation in biological systems
The successful candidate will be expected to conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, give presentations about research, write papers and provide progress reports, and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in the lab.

PhD or equivalent degree in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, or computer sciences are welcome to apply.
Experience with one or more of the following skills is an advantage:

Coding and programming languages
Cloning and expression
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
