Posting Summary: The Department of Business and Economics of The University of Virginia's College at Wise invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in economics. Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. in economics, a strong interest in and commitment to teaching excellence, and commitment to a continuing program of scholarly research. Applicants from all areas of concentration will be considered, however, candidates with a concentration or MS in finance will be preferred. ABD's near completion will be considered, but candidates must have completed the Ph.D. by August 2019 to be hired on a tenure-track appointment. Compensation will be very competitive and commensurate with experience. Immediate teaching responsibilities will include Microeconomics & Macroeconomics (both at Principles and Intermediate levels), Business Mathematics, Business Statistics, and additional courses, depending on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and interests.
