Position Summary: Reporting to the Sr. Superintendent of Plant, incumbents detect and correct malfunctions, and maintain electrical-mechanical, electronic systems, equipment and/or controls, requiring the use of specialized testing tools and equipment. Participates in the design of systems, equipment and/or controls. Work from drawings, models or verbal instructions to select the necessary materials.

Required Qualifications: Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, shop drawings and manufacturers technical manualsAbility to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workloadBasic knowledge of electrician systems and equipment, including but not limited to, the electric distribution system, alarm systems, electric control systems, building wiring, lighting, emergency generators and electric motors.Current State of California Driver's LicenseDemonstrated organization and prioritization skillsDemonstrated strong conflict resolution skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishExtensive knowledge in the design; fabrication and troubleshooting of nurse call systems, access control systems, and fire alarm systems troubleshooting of nurse call systems, access control systems, and fire alarm systemsMust work overtime or alternate shifts as required to meet hospital needsNICET CertificationUnderstanding of regulatory controls and requirements of NEC, NFPA, AQMD, OSHA, and JCAHO standards
