Research-intensive faculty positions are designed to advance the School of Nursings reputation in research at OHSU and nationally, and to contribute to the teaching mission in the development of nurse scientists at all education levels but with particular emphasis on doctoral education. Reports to the Program Director most closely aligned with incumbents areas of specialization.
The duties of this position include:
Maintains an active program of research and scholarly productivity with on-going studies and publications, presentations, and submission of competitive grant applications
Role models active engagement in the local, regional, and national research enterprise
Maintains a record of peer-reviewed publications and dissemination of research findings
Demonstrates team science skills and seeks research collaborations
Mentors other faculty in research and scholarship
Engages in professional activities related to interest and expertise and participates in scholarly productivity that meets the schools promotion and tenure requirements by faculty rank
Education Activities :
Teaches and mentors in the educational programs at various levels but with particular emphasis at the doctoral level in the PhD and DNP programs depending on curricular need
Contributes to doctoral student benchmark success, including PhD dissertations and DNP projects
Encourages scholarship by students at all levels, such as in guest lectures and seminars
Service to the School and University is expected to be primarily in the research and teaching missions
There are ample opportunities for service leadership and working with teams in serving the School and University
Administrative Activities: As negotiated.
Other Activities: The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the universitys missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.
Education: PhD or other research doctorate.
Registrations, Certifications and/or Licenses: Oregon RN license and current CPR card required.
Experience with teaching and research
Research/scholarship aligned with the SONs signature and emerging science areas
Evidence at least at a beginning level of scientific impact of program of research
