Manages a professional and comprehensive planned and corrective maintenance program for constant, reliable, and cost effective operations relating to campus HV AC mechanical, refrigeration, and Energy Management Controls systems providing refrigeration, heating, and air including air quality to approximately I 90 buildings by planning, inspecting, verifying, communicating, and troubleshooting related facility maintenance issues including airflow and air quality problems; estimating time and associated costs of service work; communicating with the AD of Maintenance Services, the Call Center, other managers and supervisory personnel, other Facilities staff, and University community representatives; ensuring that corrective measures have been provided for all identified problems or concerns; developing and maintaining strong customer service practices; ensuring that all trades maintenance activities are well-planned, delivered and completed in the most effective manner possible; conducting measurements for airflow and air quality when necessary; ensuring that all work performed follows the departmental and OSHA safety guidelines, policies, and regulations; problem solving issues that are identified with systems that are not in safe working order or compliant with national and local codes and regulations; and providing emergency services when called upon or the situation demands the same. This is a Safety-Sensitive or Security-Sensitive position, incumbents will be subject to pre-employment and post-employment drug testing in accordance with University policy HR 1.95 Drug and Alcohol Testing.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma and 8 years professional experience supervising building controls personnel, HVAC, and/or automated building controls for large institutional or government facilities. Knowledgeable of technology applications regarding automated building systems and controls for HVAC. S.C. driver's license required.
