Reporting to the Associate Director of Annual Giving, the Coordinator of Annual Giving is a key contributing member to a team responsible for Elon University’s annual fund raising and donor participation goals.
She/he is responsible for identifying, recruiting and supporting strong volunteer committees in assigned class and affinity reunions to reach the fund raising and alumni engagement goals within each reunion. Additionally, the Coordinator will develop and manage several concurrent reunion events as part of Homecoming and Reunion Weekend. The Coordinator will be a self-starter and take initiative to lead ongoing peer-to-peer fundraising volunteer programs in the Office of Annual Giving, including but not limited to, Alumni Peer Agents and Elon Day Champions. As part of a team, this role contributes to the success of Elon University's giving day, Elon Day, and a diverse set of annual giving solicitation efforts through the management of volunteers, direct outreach and other duties as assigned
Requires bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. Elon graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Length Of Experience:
One to two years professional/internship experience in events, sales, marketing or customer service experience and/or volunteer management preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage various aspects and logistics of class and affinity reunion planning, volunteer management, and giving campaigns, including but not limited to the following: 1.Coordinate reunions, with particular emphasis on class affinity milestone groups. This includes identifying, recruiting and training volunteers for the reunion committee, assisting committees with planning of celebratory events, overseeing marketing plan and timeline for reunion communications, implementing and executing reunion events and solicitations in collaboration with Elon's Office of Alumni Engagement. 2.Maintain regular contact with class/affinity reunion volunteers. Coordinate conference calls and/or on-site meetings in order to plan for the reunion in a timely manner. 3.Grow the number of Alumni Peer Agents, Elon Day Champions, and reunion volunteer base and take steps to ensure their their effectiveness regarding engaging, soliciting, and ultimately securing gifts from alumni. 4.Provide exceptional resources for alumni volunteers involved in outreach and respond promptly to all inquiries regarding giving campaigns or class reunions. 5.Assist with solicitation efforts for reunion and peer-to-peer giving programs. Assist with necessary letters, promotional materials, and other resources to market the programs to volunteers and donors. 6.Assist in maintenance of a system of necessary reports and records on reunion giving and peer agents. Other duties include, but are not limited to: 7.Serve as an active solicitor during various annual giving initiatives. 8.Keep current with university activities, programs, and happenings. 9.Assist with departmental goal setting and tracking. 10.Represent the University at various functions on- and off-campus. 11.Enhance professional development through attendance at appropriate conferences and/or conversations with colleagues at other institutions. 12.Utilize technology that includes Raisers Edge, Elon's internal database to run queries and exports to identify alumni for reunions and engagement, and maintain excellent information within the internal database to improve alumni outreach. 13.Provide exceptional customer service to our alumni acting with the greatest amount of professionalism and expressing the highest sense of urgency. 14.Actively enhance professional skills by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; attending appropriate conferences, participating in webinars and professional organizations, building relationships with colleagues at Elon and other universities, fundraising meetings, etc. 15.Other duties as assigned.
