Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC), the Department of Psychiatry at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and the Rutgers Institute for Health, Healthcare Policy and Aging are building a clinical research program in addiction (opioid, alcohol and other substances), and are looking to recruit a tenure-track or tenured faculty member at the Associate or Full Professor level. We are looking to hire an established and productive researcher with active and grant-funded (e.g., NIDA) research programs related to substance abuse addiction and services and implementation research. The successful candidate will develop new initiatives that integrate research, training, and specialized substance abuse addiction services. Successful candidates will be expected to work with researchers, clinicians, and administration at Rutgers, the RWJ Barnabas Health system, and the State of NJ Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services to position Rutgers to be competitive for large systems-impacting grants such as the one described in NIDA's recent RFA for the HEALing Communities Study: (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-DA-19-016.html). Prior experience working on projects of this type, that includes clinical trial design, a services research perspective, health economics, and learning health care system components, will be considered a strength.
