THIS IS NOT AN H1- B OPPORTUNITY ResponsibilitiesThe Clinical Applications Professional 3 will troubleshoot escalated issues of moderate complexity and scope with clinical software, hardware, operating systems, and/or clinical information systems. Identifies and coordinates service and support as necessary between clinical engineering, IT, networks, departments, and external vendors. Proposes new solutions related to workflows, processes, system designs, or developments in collaboration with operational users. The Clinical Applications Professional 3 will collaborate with clinical subject matter experts on complex projects to modify workflows due to new releases and system upgrades. Plans and develops improvements in functionality and efficiency of clinical applications. Performs as a liaison between vendors and IT leadership. The Clinical Applications Professional 3 will Analyze patient care workflow in various clinical departments and develops and defines solutions for improved system integration and functionality. Required Qualifications
Must obtain Epic application certification for Bugsy, Beaker Clinical Pathology, and Beaker Anatomic Pathology within 18 months of hire date.
Experience participating in design of clinical laboratory workflows to support optimized utilization of the laboratory information system.
Experience performing clinical laboratory information system testing either as an analyst or subject matter expert.
Experience leading a clinical or information technology team and prioritizing tasks for individual contributors or projects.
Demonstrated advanced written and verbal communication skills including the ability to convey highly technical information to all levels of clinical users and staff.
Experience implementing or supporting a laboratory information system as an IT professional or operational subject matter expert.
Experience serving as a technical leader and information resource to clinical users and management, providing guidance and recommendations on optimal strategies and policies for quality, efficiency, and functionality improvement of clinical information systems.
