Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for the Cancer Pharmacology Department at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
The primary purpose of the Postdoctoral Researcher is to study the role of mTOR kinase in metabolic regulation under the direction of the Principal Investigator.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Works under the direction of the Principal Investigator.
Carries out various cellular and molecular experimental studies.
Possesses effective oral and written communication skills in order to publish scientific research articles and apply for extramural funding.
Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state, and Rutgers regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Recent doctoral degree in Biomedical or Life Sciences.
Experience with cell culture, molecular, and cell biology techniques is essential.
Candidates in all-but-degree (ABD) status will also be considered.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have first authored publications in relevant high impact scientific journals.
Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Experience with mice.
