The HITS Finance & Administration division provides support for HITS as an organization, and all of its employees. The division administers the HITS budget, which supports all of the day-to-day operational activities and capital projects across each HITS division. Finance & Administration is also responsible for forecasting, procurement, contract management, facilities, space management, position control, employee onboarding, timekeeping, and reception. The team also coordinates institutional responses to benchmark surveys, cost reporting, and IT-related financial audits.

HITS is seeking an IT Contract Administrator to join our Finance and Administration division. HITS Finance & Administration provides support for the HITS organization, and all of its employees through budget management, day-to-day operational activities and capital projects. Finance & Administration is also responsible for forecasting, procurement, contract management, facilities, space management, position control, employee onboarding, timekeeping, and reception for all of HITS.
Reporting to the HITS Contract Administration Lead, the IT Contract Administrator will be responsible for the administration of IT contracts for software, licenses, hardware, and services. Responsible for the processing of IT contracts, including renewals, amendments, contract performance, vendor management and contract documentation.
Maintain repository of all HITS contracts and oversight of contract workflows between HITS, Procurement and Legal
Monitoring of contracts to ensure terms and conditions are met.
Prepare and disseminate various reporting and metrics relative to contract monitoring, monthly spend, cost savings and other department initiatives.
Communicate contract policy and practice to internal and external business teams.
Develop strong relationships between UM Procurement, Office of General Council and stakeholders to support HITS and Michigan Medicine objectives, improve workflows and leverage Procurement and Legal resources.
Develop and improve contract workflows and acumen of Managers and Staff across Michigan Medicine as it relates to IT contract processes and procurement or legal procedures.
Monitor vendor compliance and prepare appropriate metrics and management reporting to provide proper oversight.
Provides contract expertise to support RFP development and completion of contract actions
Creates value for a diverse community by fostering a climate of service excellence.
Develops supporting and trusting relationships that foster collaboration.
Acts with confidence and courage through daily interaction with key partners in HITS Leadership, U-M Procurement, the Office of the General Council, HITS customers and HITS employees.

Master’s degree in Information technology, business administration, finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years of experience in procurement, and or contract administration with increasing scope of responsibility.
Broad understanding of the healthcare IT industry, including hardware, software and services.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage large scale projects with exceptional planning and organizational skills.
MBA, MPH or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated ability to present and gain acceptance of ideas and proposals.
JD or Advanced degree in Public Health or Business Law
Electronic contract management experience
Solid technical/functional understanding of vendor management tool-sets
IT thought leader in vendor management
Experience in contract management and compliance
Working knowledge of the relevant laws and regulations including CMS, HIPAA, FOIA and UCC
