The Department of Mathematics at Iowa State University invites applications for one or more Research Training Group Postdoctoral Scholar positions, with an expected start date of August 16th, 2020.
These positions are supported by an NSF Research Training Group grant focused on discrete mathematics. These three-year appointments have duties that include conducting research, participating in the research group activities, such as taking an active part in seminars and research related events of the group, and a teaching load of one course per semester.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Phd in Mathematics or a closely related discipline obtained by appointment date.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Experience in Combinatorics, Graph Theory, or a closely related to area to Discrete Mathematics
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Evidence of an understanding of and willingness to work collaboratively with diverse groups
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Demonstrated commitment to scholarship, with the ability to establish a viable research program
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring students.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Experience in or demonstrated interest in working with graduate and undergraduate students.
