The Staff Nurse, under the supervision of the Director of Student Health Services and Charge Nurse, function as part of the health care team in providing primary/urgent health care services within Rowan University Student Health Services to a diverse population of full and part-time undergraduate and graduate patients. Candidates must be flexible to meet the needs of the Center during the weekday and evenings. The successful candidate will triage and assess the health care needs of students, will assist the physicians and nurse practitioner with evaluations and treatment of students, will provide health education and will provide bedside nursing care in our short-term treatment and observation rooms. The candidate will consult with physicians and other members of the health care team, and will make referrals as needed. The staff nurse will assist in several campus-wide health promotion initiatives, health education programs, and research and quality improvement activities.

Registration as a Professional Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
Current CPR-Healthcare provider level
Must possess competencies in RN clinical skills, health promotion education, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, trans-cultural care, leadership and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Bachelor in Nursing or current candidate for Bachelor in Nursing.
Healthcare experience in a higher education environment.
Range P20 ($52,278-$59,494)
This a full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week.
