The Department of Mathematics seeks an experienced professional to serve as a Human Resources Administrator. This position provides professional level support in all human resource functions across all employee types. Primary job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: serving as the lead resource to the department administrators for all aspects of human resources administration; working with various stakeholders to facilitate the hiring and on-boarding process for student, on-call, temporary, support staff, faculty and academic staff; primary contact for work and visitor visa requirements including processing and maintaining proper visa status; maintain personnel files; coordinating HR related activities; compiling and providing reports related to Human Resources; performing other duties as assigned to carry out the the mission of the Department, College and University.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four year college degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or a field related to the employing unit; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in managing human resource functions, designing and implementing training programs and human resource/labor relations management and computer applications; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. May require experience related to the field of employment.
Five or more years of related Human Resources experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office including 365, TEAMS, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Experience with University systems including SAP, Kuali Financial System, Business Intelligence and the Applicant Tracking (PageUp) System.
Knowledge of University policies and procedures, especially in the field of Human Resources.
Ability to manage/coordinate multiple tasks and work successfully with academic scholars and staff.
Ability to work on several projects simultaneously in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Demonstrates a work orientation that includes critical thinking, creative problem solving, taking initiative, mentoring, and working as part of a team.
