The Laboratory Manager provides leadership, strategic planning and effective management of the CRISMA Lab in the provision of specimen processing, biobanking, biomarker testing and consultations.
The lab core is an integral part of the CRISMA Research Center serving a diverse group of researchers conducting federally-funded research. Responsible for directing laboratory components of project design, determining applicable experimental processes, and developing methods, procedures, and protocols. On a daily basis, the incumbent manages and supports the lab staff while prioritizing and directing resource requirements across multiple projects in accordance with applicable SOPs, guidelines and regulations.
The Laboratory Manager successfully drives interactions with cross-functional project teams by clearly communicating requirements around scope of work, timing, and budget to ensure successful project execution.
PhD Preferred. Significant relevant experience may be substituted for advanced degree requirements per University guidelines.
This position requires a proven track record of managing teams, as well as implementing and managing multifaceted projects. The incumbent must also possess project management skills; strong analytic skills, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and strong organizational skills. Previous lab management experience is required.
