Job Description Summary
The administrator supports the Schoolâ™s functional leaders (HR, Finance, Training, Decision Support) in all aspects of the Universityâ™s Human Capital Management Initiative, including Workday. Represents PSOM in University HCM/Workday discussions. The position reports to the Executive Director of Decision Support and Analysis, who is the Schoolâ™s Workday security lead and access administrator.
Serve as a member of the Schoolâ™s HCM/Workday leadership group and as the Schoolâ™s intermediary with the Universityâ™s HCM team in the next phases of the HCM/Workday implementation.
Within PSOM, lead implementation of Workday updates and University modifications.
Working with University, monitor the PSOM usersâ™ Workday experiences and make recommendations Â for business processes improvements.
Develop and manage the Schoolâ™s Workday communication strategy to key constituencies within the School.
Work with PSOM functional directors to define improvement opportunities. Drive the process for change.
Work with the Workday Security administrator and School security lead (the Executive Director of Decision Support and Analysis) to continue to evolve the Schoolâ™s Workday supervisory org structure.Â Work with the Workday Security administrator to correct and maintain the hierarchy of the School in Workday.
Maintain the assignment of security access roles for PSOM administrators.
Develop documentation of School and CPUP specific processes related to Workday/HCM processes.Â
Assemble and lead function-specific workgroups throughout school to share best practices and remediate problems around payroll, hiring, compensation changes
Troubleshoots issues, escalates to WD/HCM team and School administrators, and communicates resolutions.
Identify critical PSOM workday training issues and engage PSOM resources to develop solutions.Â
Manage PSOM HCM website.

Masterâ™s Degree and 5-7 years, Bachelorâ™s Degree and 7-10 years or equivalent combination of education and experience required.Â Â Masterâ™s Degree preferred. Â At least 5 years experience in an academic environment, preferably in academic medicine.Â Hands-on experience and comprehensive knowledge of Workday required.Â Understanding of the organizational hierarchy of the School of Medicine and CPUP is desirable.Â Excellent writing and communication skills.Â Â Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with and influence varying levels of School and University administration and leadership necessary.Â
