Northwestern University is seeking a temporary Program Assistant for the Evanston campus.
Temporary Job Description:
The Program Assistant will assist with the following responsibilities:
Schedule rooms, including the BME conference room
Arranges for routine technology & refreshments for meetings.
Coordinates department events including weekly seminar series, annual holiday party, graduation receptions, etc.
Provides administrative assistance and support to department chair, assistant chair, Business Administrator, Faculty and Staff
Processes key requests including ordering, disbursement and tracking of keys
Maintains inventory & orders supplies.
Orders and distributes parking passes
Manages weekly seminar series
Coordinates graduate student recruitment events
Backup to the graduate program assistant
Other duties as assigned
A high school diploma or equivalent required
1 year of administrative support or other relevant experience required
Strong writing skills
High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
Diligent and can work independently
Experience working with confidential information
Flexibility, adaptability in a fast paced environment
MS Office suite 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
