This individual will serve as the primary leader overseeing and directing genetic counseling services provided by staff and faculty of the Munroe-Meyer Institute. Will direct and monitor the quality of patient care services. Will collaborate on educational initiatives that involved genetic counseling. Will oversee research activities involving genetic counseling. Will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. Will conduct genetic counseling in at least on clinical area (cancer, prenatal, pediatrics, etc). This individual will also be involved in teaching and supervision of students, residents and fellows.
Experience – Minimum five (5) years of genetic counseling experience required.
Education – Master's degree in Genetic Counseling required.
Licensure – Eligibility for an active licensure in Nebraska.
Certification – Board Certified by American Board of Genetic Counseling.
Registered – National Provider Identifier (NPI).
Communication Skills – Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Prefer managerial experience and training, broad knowledge of modern healthcare administration practices and principals within a managed care environment and/or academic medical center.
